Approximately 6 servings

Cherry Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 1 C. Water

  • 1/8 tsp. Almond Extract*

*Optional

Instructions:

  1. Add water, sugar, and cherries into a medium saucepan and heat over medium-high until simmering. Cook for around 15 minutes, stir occasionally. When the mixture is ready, it will have a dark red hue and a thick, syrup-like consistency.
  2. When finished cooking, remove from heat and stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
  3. Strain the mixture to remove the cherry pulp. Discard pulp. Set strained syrup to one side to cool.

(Store in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks if not used immediately.)

- Prepare/measure all ingredients to make recipe execution process smoother.

- Sweeten to your liking, if you prefer a less sweet drink then use less sugar. I wouldn’t recommend any less than a 1/2 C. to maintain syrup like consistency.
