Calling all Train Enthusiasts. To celebrate 100 years of The Flying Scotsman, The Larkin Tea Company is offering a train tin canister filled with candy to commemorate this historic event.  (This canister is already a collectors’ item.)

The iconic Flying Scotsman steam train first entered service 100 years ago and became the most well-known steam locomotive in the world with a significant place in railway history and culture

It broke records by hauling the first non-stop London to Edinburgh service in 1928 and became the UK's first locomotive to officially reach a speed of 100mph six years later. It has drawn crowds worldwide during tours throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Flying Scotsman was in service throughout the golden age of rail.

The 70ft locomotive retired from regular service in 1963 after covering more than two million miles. It changed hands between steam preservation enthusiasts before becoming a working exhibit at the National Railway Museum in York in 2004.
